A ZVZCS PWM FB DC/DC converter using a modified energy-recovery snubber

چکیده
The conventional high-frequency phase-shifted zerovoltage-switching (ZVS) full-bridge dc/dc converter has a disadvantage, in that a circulating current flows through transformer and switching devices during the freewheeling interval. Due to this circulating current, rms current stress, conduction losses of the transformer and switching devices are increased. To alleviate this problem, this paper proposes an improved zero-voltage zero-current switching (ZVZCS) phase-shifted full-bridge (FB) dc/dc converter with a modified energy-recovery snubber (ERS) attached at the secondary side of transformer. Also, the small signal model of the proposed ZVZCS FB dc/dc converter is derived by incorporating the effects introduced by a transformer leakage inductance and an ERS to achieve ZVZCS. Both analysis and experiment are performed to verify the proposed topology by implementing a 7-kW (120 Vdc, 58 A) 30-kHz insulated-gate-bipolartransistor-based experimental circuit

A new zero-voltage zero-current switching (ZVZCS) full-bridge phase-shifted PWM converter with controlled output rectifier is presented in this paper. Zero-voltage turn-on and zero-current turn-off for all power switches of the inverter is achieved for full load range from no-load to short circuit by using new secondary energy recovery clamp and modified PWM control strategy. Moreover by adding...
متن کاملA new soft recovery PWM quasi-resonant converter with a folding snubber network
A new soft recovery (SR) quasi-resonant converter (QRC) having a multiple-order folding snubber network(MFSN) is introduced. It is obtained by combining a normal QRC with a folding snubber network of which the surrounding components are composed of passive devices only (diodes and capacitors). The reverse recovery loss of the main rectifier diode is eliminated by this method utilizing multiple ...
متن کاملA passive lossless snubber cell for nonisolated PWM DC/DC converters
A passive lossless snubber cell is proposed to improve the turn-on and turnoff transients of the MOSFET’s in nonisolated pulsewidth modulated (PWM) dc/dc converters. Switching losses and EMI noise are reduced by restricting di=dt of the reverse-recovery current and dv=dt of the drain–source voltage. The MOSFET operates at zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) turnoff and near zero-current-switching (ZCS...

This paper proposes an improved design to calculate the snubber auxiliary elements of ZVT DC-DC PWM converters with snubber assisted auxiliary switch. The proposed improved design guidelines are based on the reduction of the conduction losses through the auxiliary circuit. It is accomplished by the unique location of the turn-off snubber capacitor, which is shared by both active switches. By me...
